Pill Drop Planned for Saturday

Help the Bartow Police Department and other Polk County Police agencies protect our kids and keep drugs off the street.

antibiotics112713The Bartow Police Department is hosting a “Pill Drop” this Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Anyone that has expired or unwanted medications can bring them to the drive through at the Bartow Police Department, 450 N. Broadway Avenue, Bartow.

Animal medication is also accepted.

Other agencies participating in the Pill Drop are:

Polk County Caregivers Training

This disaster preparedness training is designed for Polk County home health care agencies and private caregivers.  The training will provide information to assist with disaster preparedness decision making. Topics will include knowing whether to evacuate, shelter in place or go to public sheltering.  In addition, the course will provide preparedness tips to better prepare clients for disasters.

Where: 2135 Marshall Edwards Drive Multi Media Room, Bartow, FL 33830

Please park in the fenced area.Enter through the main entrance, then go to the right, up the step and through the double doors.

Date:   May 30, 2014

Time:   8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Cost:  Free

Seats are limited, participants need to register by May 30, 2014 in order to ensure enough handouts are available.
