Hepatitis Program

What Services Are Available?

The Hepatitis Program educates the public about hepatitis and liver failure, and investigates all reported cases of hepatitis in Polk County. The program also provides screening tests for hepatitis A, B, & C to persons 18 years of age and older.

This program helps prevent hepatitis by providing FREE hepatitis A & B vaccines to adults who are at risk for the disease, or complications due to other chronic liver conditions.

The program provides health information to people who have questions, risk factors, or hepatitis infection, so that they can protect others and prevent the spread of the disease. Hepatitis Progam staff are available to provide presentations to community groups upon request.
