What Services are available?

The Radiological Health Office in Winter Haven provides x-ray machine inspections, radioactive materials inspections, and radiological emergency response.

Inspections are made to ensure radioactive materials and x-ray machines are used safely and that adequate security is used to maintain control of the material. Facilities inspected include hospitals, medical clinics, dental offices, industrial facilities, and a food irradiator that are licensed by the State of Florida for the use of radioactive materials, or that possess registered x-ray machines.
